UTILITY halfback-cum-hooker for the SP PNG Hunters, 30-year-old Ate Bina Wabo, has been released indefinitely by the SP PNG Hunters management
Hunters coach Michael Marum told the media on two separate occasions this week that Bina Wabo had been released on disciplinary grounds, and had left the club and gone back to his home.
Marum said Bina Wabo Ate had not once but on two occasions broken the rules leaving the club no choice but to release him from the team.
“Ate Bina Wabo has been released as of Tuesday (August 23) we have a strict rule in the club and he had broken the rule.
“Two weeks ago he had a few drinks and went off to a few nightclubs we fined him and warned him, but he has done it again.
“Bina Wabo has been released from the team and has been sent back to his home so he is no longer with us, he has breached the club rules, he is a good player and has been with us for the past two seasons,” Marum said.
Marum thanked Bina Wabo for his services to the club and said he might be considered by teams in the Digicel Cup.
