Marus joins Cabinet

MEMBER for Talasea Francis Marus was sworn in as a Minister of State and Member for Usino-Bundi Anton Yagama as Parliamentary Secretary assisting the Minister for Public Enterprises and State Investments William Duma.

Prime Minister Peter O’Neill, at a brief press conference after the swearing in ceremony, announced a few changes in Cabinet that include: Francis Marus as Minister for Higher Education, Science and Technology, Malachi Tabar as Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, and Nixon Duban as Minister for Petroleum and Energy.

Commenting on the changes, Prime Minister O’Neill said, the Ministers appointed have vast experiences in the respective portfolios they have been appointed to, having served in those portfolios previously.

The swearing in ceremony at Government House is afternoon was witnessed by Prime Minister Peter O’Neill, Minister for TreasuryPatrick Pruaitch, Minister for Public Enterprises and State Investments William Duma, Minister for Fisheries and Marine Resources Mao Zeming, and Minister for Petroleum and Energy Nixon Duban.
